Fowler's style is was first inspired by skateboard art. When he was younger he BMX'd then got into skateboarding, and the artworks on the boards really intrigued him. While at Univesity in Cornwall his art, music and skate were all bonded together and I think his style has evolved through the mixture of these.
As well as illustration, music and toy design have a big part in his career. One of his main achievements is his invention of "Monsterism Island" where all his "monsters" live. Most of the modern cartoon characters he designs and draws are monsters who live on the island. They all have character profiles and Fowler makes them into toys.
