David Setter - Doodle Planet

David Setter graduated from NEWI (Glyndwr University, before it was a university), twelve years ago, and he started his talk with a general outline of what he had been doing in those twelve years in his career and the significant points that have brought him to where he is today. He showed us his illustrations including some of his most well known pieces.
Two of the art woks he showed us were done on sculptures. One was a rhinoceros and the other the mascot for the Olympic Games 2012. I thought they were amazing and through these he could show how art doesn't only have to be on a flat canvas but we can take it to many mediums.
When we did some live drawing (doodling) I found the canvases we were given were too big and the pens were very thick. I think I would be more comfortable working on something smaller that I could actually think I could fill. It was still good fun!
I really enjoyed David Setter's lecture and the live drawing, and love his illustration style.
