Paul Herrmann - The Top Photographer: Succeeding in Contemporary Practise

Paul Herrmann is the director of a non-profit photographic network, Redeye, which is there to support photographers (at any level).Though I am not doing photography I still found the talk really helpful as I could apply most of what he said to graphic design.
The main aim of his talk was to give some pointers towards the right kind of plan to presenting work at the degree show and how to follow on from there.
I found it very interesting that he mentioned 'Elevator Pitch' and that our work should be an honest representative of us and that the way we achieve this is to look at our values, which is exactly what Denise Chilton was talking about in her lecture yesterday!
The only annoying thing about the talk was even though he was a photographer all his presentation slides were words in bullet points and quotes. (I did find the bullet points helpful for writing notes though!) But I would have liked to have seen some of his own work.
