Denise Chilton - Motivating yourself

"Motivation is the driving force which causes us to achieve our goals"
Motivation is a big part of a student's life, as we need to take responsibility for our actions and time management, so I really felt this topic was very relevant.
Denise focused on understanding how and why our feelings effect motivation and if we prioritise things that are important to us then we can be motivated.
I found what she said about our comfort zone and our stretch zone helpful, if we are motivated we will "make a step for change" and move into our stretch zones.
I found her tips and reasons for goals very helpful, especially her SMART goals.

SMART Goals
Specific and positive
Measurable and meaningful to you
Attainable and stated in the present tense
Relevant and right for you
Timed and targeted and thrilling
